40 years of taxidermy experience

About Barry ...

My name is Barry Haller, and my shop is at 1055 Swamp Bridge Road, Denver, Pennsylvania. I have been in the Taxidermy business since 1977. I am a self-taught Taxidermist with the help of North East School of Taxidermy, and a few other small courses. I became more knowledgeable due to the kindness of those that walked this path before me. After about 10 years of services, I approached the tanning end of taxidermy due to the kindness of of a fellow I met at Biloxi, Mississippi 's  Taxidermy Convention,   Sinclair Clark who specialized in Africa tanning, but did all kinds of work at New York Jonas brothers. I had him come down and help me get started. Sinclair Clark was the one who tanned the elephant that stands in the Smithsonian, and he also worked at the Museum of Natural History in New York, talking with him was a Godsend.

Since then, I have added other equipment, and gained a greater knowledge at tanning. I do bear, deer, elk, moose, caribou, foxes, raccoon, and lots of others. I have a large show room, with lots to see. I guess you can see from my prices, I am the poor mans taxidermist. My motto is to do a good job at a decent price, we do about 200 deer heads a year, and that is for about  30  years at the same place. Overall, I have not had too many complaints, so I must be doing something right!
